MIT Enterprise Forum Cambridge

Please join us tonight – December 11, 2017 – at 5:30 pm for the MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) EdTech Launch Smart Clinic

Walter and I will be presenting QKXchange™ to the MIT Enterprise Forum, a.k.a. MITEF, a group of scholars, educators, engineers, and other members of the tech venture community. QKXchange™ is the next phase of our Rapid Open Assessment Response™ platform (R.O.A.R.™).

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to discuss QKXchange™ and the R.O.A.R.™ with the audience and expert panel at MITEF. Also presenting tonight is BlocksCAD, a company dedicated to creating tools that help students of all ages pursue their love of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) using cloud-based 3D modeling.

Tonight’s Forum will be moderated by Ameeta Soni, an Entrepreneur, Marketer, and Investor. The Expert Panelists are Eric Hilfer, VP, Engineering for Rosetta Stone, Charlie Hipwood,Vice President of Mass Ventures, and Kenneth Klau, Director of Digital Learning for the  Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

I have a special affection for MITEF. Back in the spring of 2007, the year after I graduated from business school, a friend and I pitched a business plan to the Forum, for a for a “thin client” laptop built for K-12 students. The Great Recession put paid to our dream later that year, but I am still using lessons I learned at MITEF a decade later. MITEF introduced me to a community who shared my passion for applying technology to important problems in need of solutions. Back then MITEF events were held at a wonderful Chinese restaurant on Main Street outside Kendall Sq. The food was outstanding, but the space was a little cramped. Tonight we will have a little more space, as the event will be at MIT’s Tang Center in Kendall.
